Quando se trata de jogos da Tencent, nem sempre as semelhanças são mera coincidência, e o Codename: Modila prova justamente isso. O jogo está sendo desenvolvido pela Tencent e está em pré registro no Tencent Pioneer, app onde testes restritos de jogos da empresa são divulgados oficialmente.
Os detalhes sobre ele são extremamente escassos, apenas imagens promocionais foram divulgadas nas redes sociais, mas duas coisas chamam a atenção: A semelhança com Palworld e, principalmente, com os jogos da franquia Horizon, do Playstation.
No Horizon temos a protagonista Alloy, uma caçadora altamente experiente no arco, em um mundo aberto futurista dominado por máquinas. Ao que parece, “Codename: Modila” não apenas terá um mundo aberto com mais ou menos os mesmos estilo de máquinas, como a protagonista mostrada em um dos posters de divulgação tem um alto nível de semelhança com a Alloy, isso para dizer o mínimo.
Traduzindo os textos de posters, temos mensagens do tipo: “Mude o mundo, mude o modo de vida”, “Um novo jogo de sobrevivência está prestes a começar” e “Mundo de vida altamente livre”, já servindo como indicativo de que será mesmo um jogo de sobrevivência, possivelmente sandbox, em um mundo aberto.
Por outro lado, o jogo também parece ter características do Palworld, estilo de jogo que se popularizou bastante entre os desenvolvedores de jogos mobile, Já que em outros posters temos alguns “animais robóticos” ajudando em algumas funções. Segundo o APKCBT, responsável pelo vazamento no X, o jogo será lançado para Android, IOS e PC.
